Church Officer Nominations

The church will elect officers following the nomination period of Nov. 23-Dec. 7. These consist of Church Treasurer, Clerk, Assistant Clerk, Finance Committee, and Board of Trustees.

The following are currently serving and willing to continue: 

• Treasurer- Ron Preston
• Clerk- Faye Barefoot
• Asst. Clerk- Elaine Jenkins

We will elect one person to the Finance Committee. Kelly Dixon is rotating off and is ineligible for nomination. Cammie Melvin and Joe Phillips are currently serving and will continue.

A Finance Committee member must be an active member of church for at least two years, have knowledge of and maintain the church’s financial audit procedures, have knowledge of various budgeting procedures, and cannot be an active deacon, trustee, or  church treasurer while serving on this committee.

We will elect two people for the Board of Trustees. Walter Cobb and Ronnie Sutton are rotating off and ineligible for nomination. Greg Justice, Brenan Keene, and Chris Kelly are currently serving and will continue. 

A member of the Trustee Board must be an active member of church for at least two years. They serve as the legal representatives of the church as required by the state. Duties include ensuring the proper accountability of all church assets, spending budgeted money as deemed necessary for maintenance, up-keep, replacement, and repairs to church assets, and signing any loan documents subjecting the church to indebtedness.
